Can anybody tell me if Quark works with VoiceOver?
Wow Joe, that is some web site! But since you are the boss, why not dictate tools that are VoiceOver compatible? I know Quark and Adobe are the 800 pound gorrillas in publishing, but it seems to me that PDF/X lets you consider other alternative work flows. I am guessing you have a real Mac guru (or two) on staff full time, so I would think if the major pieces are all Cocoa, Automator and AppleScript could fill in all the seems. One company that has been particularly promising has a screen writing app that might be up your alley: http://www.marinersoftware.com/sitepage.php?page=104 Theirs is really nickle and dime compared to the market space you are in, but they make the big players look ignorant in terms of accessibility. It is alot of work to find them, but I suspect there are modern applications that do what you need. Most people are stuck trying to adapt to the inaccessible applications used by everyone else in the office. You have the advantage of being in a possition to tell everyone ELSE to work a little different!
