Setting location for the weather widget was discussed in a much earlier thread over a year ago. At the time, the author of the dashboard weather widget posted a command-line alternative for entering the zip code. However, I tried this in my current operating system, and it doesn't seem to change the weather widget location (which is actually correct using default values that I never set). The archive post that gives his instructions is: http://macvisionaries.com/pipermail/discuss_macvisionaries.com/2006-January/008827.html But to summarize here, the instruction was to type from the terminal: open -a /System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app "dashboard-widget:open=com.apple.widget.weather?location=93401" where the argument for the location is the zip code you want. At least at the time the widget was designed, it only worked for U.S. locations -- a sighted person inputting "Paris" would get the weather for Paris, Texas. The command was supposed to be typed on a single line, but gets broken up by the mailer, so if you want to try it you should paste the two lines together, separated by a space. As I said, trying it now did not reset my Weather WIdget to Cupertino, CA, though it did for some list members who tried it at the time. And John Louch (author of the widget) was going to report this to the VoiceOver team. Hope this helps, Cheers, Esther
