Hi,
Does preview show accented characters in pdf documents? I have a
German book in pdf form, and the umlauted characters display just
fine with Acrobat Reader on a pc; however, when I open it with
preview, the umlauts are no where to be found. I tried looking
through the settings and online, but I haven't found anything useful.
I also downloaded and installed Adobe Reader 8 for the mac on the
off chance that it would work with VO. I was able to install it
and even set up the "accessibility options"; however, I don't seem
to be able to interact with wherever the text is, and the read out
loud command on the document menu gives no output. Does this work
with some documents and just not this one? Has anyone had any
success with Adobe Reader? Thanks.
