When you get your new machine you can do all this via Firewire. I forget exactly how it works, but it can be done.

Hi everyone:

Well, either today or Monday the FedEX driver is bringing a brand new Mac to my front door. I've purchased a new Mac Book Pro and have a few questions. So nice to have a new member of the family on the way!!! Okay, maybe a bit extreme but this thing is going to be beautiful.

My question is about synching data between my iMac and the Mac Book. Essentially, I'd like the same music, documents, software and everything to be on my new Mac. I don't want to end up downloading new software and all of that. Is there a way to just set up the two computers so they automatically synch data over my wireless network? So, when I walk in my house, turn on the computers they automatically update one another to have the same information? If not, what suggestions do people have to make and keep this process simple and easy!
