Jude,
I sincerely doubt that. The only people who will get Leopard that way are
1. the people who bought the computer a couple weeks (at most) before
the launch date in October, at a discounted price
2. The people who purchase a computer in-store on or after the launch
date where the computer does not have leopard preinstalled, for free.

A computer purchased right now, let alone April, will not be eligible
for any sort of discount off of Leopard. Neither has Leopard ever
been available for download, except through the Apple Developer
connection website. Software Update is not enough for a major (not
minor like 10.4.10 to 10.4.11) upgrade like from 10.4 to 10.5 in
general.

As for Leopard, I'm getting the same vibes from it that I did from
Vista...Apple pushing it back, Apple saying it's not ready, beta
testers saying it's not ready (I refrain from adding my own
comments..)...I'll definitely upgrade for the dev tools and for the
apps I use that will be 10.5 only, but other than that I don't have
much of a choice..heck, all my major upgrades have been forced by the
software I use not supporting the OS anymore.

cheers,
jane
