Hello James,
I actually used my sister's iBook with VO a couple of times to show
her how to do things. It was slow but it worked. She doesn't use VO
and it's still slow but she doesn't seem to mind.
Cheers,
Anne

My god that is some definition of backward compatibility anne,
impressive. Have you seen it running? Is it a good deal different
for someone blind using it on a system like that. I only ask
because we are generally slower with macs because of VoiceOver's
need to constantly move its cursor.

Hello James,
Of course your MacBook will take Leopard. There will be some very
old machines that won't be powerful enough, but Apple is very good
when it comes to backward compatibility. My sister runs Tiger on a
350 MHz G3 Clamshell iBook which must be 6 years old if it's a day.
Cheers,
Anne
