What about MS Office for the Mac, is it accessible?

Not yet. But other accessible Mac applications can edit some Office documents. TextEdit and Pages can edit ordinary Word documents.

Other list members will know whether Keynote (for presentations) is accessible or not.

MS Office for the Mac does not include Access.

The main accessibility gap at the moment in terms of Office software is in spreadsheets, since the recently released Numbers seems to work poorly with VoiceOver.
