No its not but on the other hand it has things that Gold Wave and
Sound Forge don't which in some ways make it unique, firstly it
supports cue files which are extremely affective. Second, its real-
time editing facilities considering the outlay are excellent, for
example you can scroll to the point where you wish to say create a
split or a selection and press t to split exactly where the play head
is or say press I to start the selection, your actions and the status
of your editing is easily read on screen with Voiceover.
And thirdly (and perhaps most importantly), Fissian has not been
around as long as other software for the PC so given this fact I
think the developers of same have done an excellent job. No, Fission
isn't perfect but with the help of users and good feedback it will
I'm sure become an even greater piece of software than it already is,
I've had a few snags I admit but the developers have ben keen to hlep
out when I've contacted them, that says allot for a software package
in itself.
