Webpages with music

Hello

Does anyone here know if there is a way to stop music playing on  
webpages.  Sometimes there are sights that have music in the  
background that makes it hard to hear VO.  I am thinking about  
emailing accessibility about this but I wanted to find out if there  
was something I am missing.
