Hey Buddy, Other than getting education discounts (student or employee) or being a paid ADC member, the only way to possibly get Leopard at less than $129 is by purchasing it on or after the Leopard release date. Apple may not even do this at all, or might change their mind about any aspect of it, there's no info I can find at the moment about what they did in the past, sigh. Apple's doing an up-to-date program for iLife 08 where you can buy it for $10 if you bought a computer with iLife 06 on/after the 08 release date, so something along those lines would most likely happen with Leopard as well.
Don't know any specifics about your situation, but depending on how badly you need it.... Some of my friends were considering waiting until October, but they needed new laptops for school and wanted to take advantage of the free iPod nano deal that only lasts until two weeks from now. Others are really insistent on waiting until October to save as much as they could. Just keep in mind that the release date might as well be the last day in October, for all you know, so use that to decide how much you want it. I've seen people purchase entire computers right before they were upgraded, and they were still glad they didn't wait. But if $129 means a lot and you can wait, then so be it. cheers, jane On 8/26/07, Buddy Brannan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hey y'all, > > OK, so.
