Hi Mat: Let me try to answer some of your questions. I moved from PC to Mac entirely now and don’t have Windows at all other than when they force me to use it at work.
1. Regarding feeling you need Windows to be compatible with your classmates. You simply don’t. You can choose to use Windows if you feel you must but you can find programs to do everything and more that your Windows using friends can do. Word processing in Text Edit, email with Apple Mail, texting and messaging with Fire and other aps, the list goes on and on. So, don’t feel like you’ve got to have Windows running because you simply don’t. Second, I know there are torent clients available and accessible but I don’t know what they are. I don’t use torrents at this time. 2. You could use bootcamp but I think Fusion is a better solution. Installation is fully accessible and it works very nicely. Yes, it does cost money but you could get a 30-day demo and check it all out. I’ve not used the bootcamp process but at one time did have fusion.
