Hello everyone,
The BBC iPlayer is currently only available for Windows xP users.
Development is continuing on the Windows Vista, Mac and Linux
platforms. See:
www.bbc.co.uk/iplayerbeta
The BBC widget and BBC Listen Again widget use Realplayer.

versiontracker didn't have this described as iplayer though that
may be an omission on their part. It's 203k in size so if that's
the size of the iplayr, I'll probably end up uninstalling it.

If you are referring to the BBC iPlayer, it has been getting a
beating for its DRM encumbered media which generally means it
fails to play far more often or not at all and locks out many
devices. Slashdot had a note on this back in August:

Does this widget have dependencies that also need installing in
order for
the widget to work? I have i-tunes handling all of the browser
multimedia
services by now and hope the widget won't have a problem with
that choice.
