safari and downloads

I downloaded and installed realplayer and verified that it works.  I think 
there was a realplayer plug-in that was also supposed to download from the 
BBC too but that didn't happen.  What did was a window came up in safari 
that said 1 download tabbing off of that I found a blank space tabbing off 
of that I found a control that said list, and tabbing off of that I found 
a clear button.  When safari landed on this dialog it simply stalled there 
and didn't do anything else.  I might be able to use realplayer and have 
it search for plug-ins and maybe download this one if it's available.
