Speaking of Leopard and mail. Does anyone know if the new OS release will
hog the system like reports of Vista do and for right now can I use my own
e-mail info in the mail client that is in Tiger? For example

When you get Leopard, you should back up all your data and the disk
images of all the applications that don't come with the OS to an external
hard drive, then do an Erase and Install and use the Migration Assistant
to copy your data onto the new system. In this way, you shouldn't lose
anything from your Address Book or Mail or anything else.
