Well I'll make your job that little bit easier perhaps, don't bother
trying to track down Vista unless you want problems to stalk you.

Yeah but now I have to find a copy of XP Pro and a copy of Vista so I
can do Bootcamp and a couple of virtual machines with Window Eyes and
JAWS. Plus I want to test out Linux virtually as well.

We'll have to wait and see but I'm impressed up till now.
Of course, you don't have to run virtual machines using Fusion or
Paralels Desktop, you can use Bootcamp and boot between Tiger and
Windows, that has some advantages, the main one being that you
have more resources and processing power available if using
Bootcamp than you do when running a virtual machine but virtual
machines have their place too in that you can have 2 or more
machines running at the same time so you can say copy text from
Microsoft Word running under your Virtual Windows XP Machine to
Text Edit running under Tiger.

Let me know how it all works. I plan on doing the same, but I want
to learn the Mac first. I wonder if virtual machines will be any
better with Leopard.

Same applied when I had my canon 8000f scanner connected, I'm
about to do that again actually as I now have the virtual
machine for Windows XP with Fusion up and running here, will be
interested to see how Kurzweil performs.

Yep, that's exactly what I'm saying. Be ware that its quite
possible that the Mac won't find any additional software but it
will find enough software to allow the computer to print with
your printer. I have 3 printers here and the Mac found each one
in tern when I connected them, again I say, confirm this in
Printers and Faxes.
there's no doubt about it, others can learn from the design of
the Mac, it intergrates with hardware flawlessly for the most
part etc.

Now this printer is not connected to a network at all. So are you
saying without the installation disc my Mac will still find it?

You should be able to yes, your Mac should automatically find
the printer, you can check this under the Printers and Faxes in
System Preferences.

Listers I have a portable Canon IP90 printer and I don't have
the installation disc for it, however it is already been
configured for my Windows machine. My question is can I just
plug it in and think that it will work or do I have to go to
Canon's website and get the drivers? If so does it work the
same?
