Can you explain getting rid of the thing and the whole clicking on the splitter thing? What is the splitter used for and how does this help. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anne Robertson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "General discussions on all topics relating to the use of Mac OS X by theblind" <[email protected]>

Hello Shaun,

In Mail, I like to get rid of the Preview pane by double-clicking on the Splitter. In this way, only the messages you have opened will be marked as Read.

To read messages, you have to interact with the Messages Table. In the View menu, you can select which fields you want to be shown: Subject, Date, etc.

Cheers,

Anne

OK, so I got my Mac mail set up and it works incoming and outgoing. Now I need some pointers please, just anything you can think of. I heard it say 1 new mail, but I did not know how to get to it. However I was able to send myself a test message that was successful. Everyone please excuse all the immature questions, but I am new to the Mac and I want to master it. Thanks in advance.
