I think using VO keys inside of mysql administrator and mysql query
browser shows lots more what's going on. Everything now is trying to
connect to port 3306 which may or may not be open on my mac mini. I
figure to use mysql for some local data base work and only if necessary
like for updates go outonto the net. In unix some settings in my.conf had
to be edited to make this data base program work. That file may have been
downloaded and installed somewhere, I'll look for it later.
