It's the language translations I remove from the installation and that saves about 3 GB. The trial stuff probably saves at least another 1 GB.
how do you get your e-mail messages to say the opening line "hello" and then the other persons message followed by your response?
When Mail says "HTML Content", I do a couple of new lines then left arrow to the beginning of the text entry area and start typing "Hello :".
I then arrow across the text I want to keep and highlight (Shift- Right arrow) the text I want to delete and press Backspace.
I continue through the message like this and when I'm done, I press Command-Shift-Down arrow followed by backspace to remove the rest of the message.
