OK to use this key stroke because I don't have a mouse. What do I
check under navigation? Right now all options are checked. The only
programs installed are Onyx, Multilingual and the Move program that
Greg recomended for moving files and folders. I will try the mouse
setting you have first and then I will look at the program bfrom Greg.

This sounds as though either you set up some software which
took cotnrol of the keystroke options under VoiceOver, or you
have your VoiceOver navigation options set differently from
the folks who are using VO-keys+shift+space bar to click.
If you are using a mouse, you should just be able to right click
or control click, I think. I use control-option+shift+space bar to
"click" on my G4 PowerBook laptop. But the first time I described
how to use this I said that I have my VoiceOver Navigation
options set to have Mouse track VoiceOver Cursor. Anne also
has this option checked. Other people prefer to use commands
to move the mouse to the VoiceOver cursor location before they
"click" and don't use this option.
On the smaller laptops, like the 12" G4 PowerBook and the
MacBook, I like to keep my hands on the keyboard and not
carry a mouse. So, although I can also click with my trackpad,
I usually use VO-keys+shift click to "click". And I need to have
the "Mouse tracks VoiceOver Cursor" so that I "click" in the
correct location. As I said, I could do this with a mouse plugged
in by using a "right click" or I could "control click" (I think) with
an Apple Mouse, or with my trackpad click..
Something you said in an earlier question about clicking links
in Mac Mail made me wonder how you disable the clicker:
OK that sounds doable, however my clicker has been disabled per the
lost settings that were given to me. How do I activate the mouse?
Cheers,
Esther
P.S. Do you need to cc: to the discuss list? Or are you just trying
out
mail options?
