Do you listen to these?

There's not much you can do about that. How many rows in each
podcast folder depends on how many episodes are in the feed. Buzz
out loud for example keeps many past episodes there, while Leo
Laport's radio leo feed only contains podcasts for the past week.

Now if I can stop from just having one hundred and fifty seven
boz out loud epasodes show up in that list I would be happy. It is
a good thing I did not set them to download, I wouldn't have a
hard drive.

Hi Shaun,
Glad the VO-keys+backslash to open Podcast folders worked for you.
Two quick additions:
1. Working with folders in closed format is useful to speed
navigating
through the Songs Outlines with your arrow keys and is also useful
when you want to work with the folder as a whole -- for example, if
you want to add all episodes of a podcast subscription to a playlist
for listening or burning to CD. The VO-keys+backslash toggle for
opening and closing files is useful to know so you can choose either
format.
2. You can easily check on the folder open/close status by
arrowing right
to select the second column in the Songs Outline for podcasts when
you interact. The Songs outline behaves like finder, so VO-keys
+shift+c
gives you the heading for the column. The first column is status,
for whether
the episode is unplayed/played; the second is name, and gives the
name of the podcast episode or of your podcast subscription if
you're
at the folder level. If you interact and VO-keys+right arrow once to
the "name" column you should hear "expanded" if the folder is open.
This saves you having to listen to VoiceOver recite all the
information
about the podcast and you can quickly check if the folder is
"expanded".
Other way is just toggle with VO-keys+backslash and down arrow to
see whether your episodes have appeared.
Hope this helps. (I'm only on in short bursts right now).
Cheers,
Esther

Hi Shaun,
I have a question about folders in I Tunes for podcasts.
Toggle your folders open/closed with the command:
VO-keys+backslash (where backslash is the key just below the
delete
key at the right side of your keyboard)
You should hear VoiceOver update the status of the folder and
add "expanded" if the folder is open. Make sure the folder is
open if you want to access individual episodes.
