Recognizing the VoiceOver Settings of Apple Voices, using InfoVox Voices

I have VoiceOver set for "Some Punctuation."  However, the voices in  
InfoVox still reads the dashes and other symbols.  Is there a way,  
short of using the dictionary, to assist the InfoVox voices to  
recognize the settings as the are in the Apple voices?  Hope that
