Keystroke for repeated actions

Listers I want to know if it is possible to have a keystroke assigned  
to a action when editing or creating text documents that allows me to  
press this keystroke and input my name, address and so on  
automatically? For example I have a template that requires my  
personal information somewhere on the page, so I press this keystroke  
and its inserted into the desired area. Is there a function, utility  
or application that can create such actions?
