Will,
The distribution DVD has an item in the utilities menu that will allow
you to reset the password. I believe the procedure is to reboot the
computer holding down the C key, wait for the DVD to stop booting and
then turn on Voiceover. Choose English as the default language and
wait for the install window to open. At this point, check out the
menu bar and I think you'll see a utilities menu. The change password
item is in this window.

ok i thought i was set as the admin of my computer. it turns out i
am not which is pathetic as i was when i upgraded from tiger again
something else that screwed up during my installation. i have a
password which i always use but i am locked out of anything now to
add things to my mac, as my only user isn't an admin i can't unlock
the accounts to make me an admin what can i do please, if anything
i know my username on here is the only one available, but the
username and password are not matching, obviously as i am not an
administrator
