Hi Mike,

There are two things here. first, after a few days of running, your mac
actually gets better after an fresh install. Next, here are the things I
change but don't know if they will help. In finder prefs, I set new finder
windows not to open in column mode and to use the same window. The first is
just a preference of mine for consistancy and the second ensures the new
window will be in focus. I also turn off springloaded fines and folders but
don't remember where that is off hand. I make sure in keyboard under system
preferences in the keyboard shortcuts tab <od place for it> that all
controlls is selected for tab and arrow behaviour. I also set my energy
prefs to never never never... and do check the box for putting the hd to
sleep whenever possible. I also do not allow anything to wake the computer
except of course, manually, but I never put it tosleep. I think this about
covers it but I'll post more if I think of anything.

Subject: PROBLEMS AFTER INSTALL

hi, I re installed tiger on my mac and nothing seems to work like it did.
For one thing when I find something on the desktop it doesn't open.
Sometimes items are shown on the desktop, and sometimes they are not.
It seems to me when I first got my Mac. There were some settings I had to
make in voice over.
If anyone has re installed lately, any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks Mike.
