I have a Windows machine as well. I also had trouble with all the Jabber clients I could find that had transport setup capability in terms of accessibility. If you know of a Windows jabber client that is accessible, feel free to let us know about it. The server is an acceptable option if you take security precautions, IMO. The point in all of this is that it is a viable option that is wholly accessible and just as easy, if not easier, than going the Windows route.

Believe it or not most people know a person who owns a windows machine or have access to a Windows machine. It makes no difference what people do, but it would be so simple to do what I did and take most people less than 5 minutes to set this up. Along with the security problems you have when setting up your machine as a server which no one has talked about I think I might give setting up a server a little more thought.
