Hello all,
Just for the pure heck of it, I decided to do a complete system
restore using my Time Machine backup.
So if anyone is interested, this is how it went.
It worked really well and the system runs like a charm and all
previous system settings are still set the way I had them prior to the
restore, including all firewall settings.
I restarted from the Install DVD and after the Menu Bar was available,
I ran the restore option from the Utilities menu.
I selected the volume to back up from, the time backup I wanted to
use, the volume where I wanted to do the restore. In the next screen I
had another chance to either go back to change anything or do a
complete restore. I selected the Restore option.
It ran just fine.
So, I am really pleased to know that Time Machine incremental backups
or total restores from Time Machine can be done completely by using VO.
