I don't use the quick-look panel.
The way I restore a single file is to go to the external drive where I
have the Time Machine Backup. Locate the file and copy it back to
where I want it to go.
As far as I can tell, running the Time Machine application from the
finder doesn't work well for VO users.
I run Time Machine from System Preferences and launch it that way.
One thing that might help is this. In the VO Utility, under Verbosity
and under the Announcements tab, uncheck Speak When Status Changes.
This might help a little with things constantly repeating.
