I may be wrong, but if memory serves me, you can in fact install Xp on
more than one machine. This is allowed in the event your machine blows
its mother board or processor. And even then, you just call the number
presented on the screen, tell Microsoft your running your copy of xp
on a new machine and they'll give you a new key. I did this, but I had
an oem copy and my machine in fact was dead so it worked for me.

Thank you for the reply, and before I attempt this, I need to ask a
question because I am wondering if I can even use the CD I have.
The Windows XP Pro I have came on my Dell Computer and on the CD it
states that it is not for re-installation on another computer that
is not a Dell
I don't think you can even purchase another version. Am I sunk
before I start this?
Thanks

Renee - the beauty of Fusion is it's ability to do an unattended
install of xp. When you open Fusion it'll run you through a
wizzard to create a new virtual machine. You should be able to get
through that using all your standard VO keys plus arrows stuff to
explore, it's perfectly accessible. As far as I remember, it calls
the unattended install easy install, there's a check box for it.
Make sure you've got your xp cd key entered, choose the easy
install, and you're in business. For me on a 2.4 ghz macbook pro
it took about 25 mins to install, your milage may vary. The cool
thing about this is that Fusion installs the Vmware Tools drivers
automatically, so when it's done, you'll have windows come up with
sound straight away. Then it'll be windows key and u to start up
narator if you need that to find the path to whatever screen reader
you're actually going to use.
Hope that helps, and if not, be sure to shout back.

Subject: Can someone help with instaling windows?
Hello All
My husband Tom and I have fusion installed on our macs, but don't
know the first thing of what to do with installing windows XP Pro,
and was wondering if someone on this list would know how to do
this and could help us by phone. The store installed fusion, and
as far as I know it is registered and all of that.
Thanks
