Its really terrible. I got it upgraded and then went to move 3 books
over to the stream. I hit copy and sat there for 10 minutes with it
barely doing anything. Just the dialog box that sayd preparing to
copy. I left the room for another 10 minutes and it had copied it when
I returned. Talk about slow! Do people have the same problem on the
Windows side?

They warned that it would be relatively slow to load the SD memory
thru
the stream direct. Take the SD memory card out and load the card
direct, then reinsert, this goes fast. Vickie Weir

I finally got it to work but wow! I've noted a major slowdown now
when I transfer books and the like. Not sure if its Leopard,
something with the stream or what but its terrible!

Sounds like the mac already unzipped the file and the residual
is a
.UPG file that you copy to the stream. Vickie Weir

Its a .UPG file. The instructions simply say to download the zip
file which is in a UPG file and then to copy those files to the
root of the card. I'm at a loss here as I can't figure out how to
proceed here.

Subject: The Mac, The Stream, and the firmware update
Hello:
I am wondering how folks managed to unzip the file that is
downloaded
to update the Stream to version 1.1.5. I downloaded the file and,
the
instructions say to unzip the file and then to put them in the
root of
the flash card that then is inserted to the player. Problem is
that
when I try to open the downloaded firmware file so I can then copy
them to the root of the card, I get an error that there is no
default
application that can open the file. How do I proceed here?
Thanks.
