I don't use the sidbar at all. I just stay in the finder and find
that the least confusing way to browse is using icon mode.

HI ALL.
I JUST RECENTLY GOT A MAC MINI AND AM GLAD TO BE ON THIS LIST AS I
KNOW I HAVE MUCH TO LEARN.
I WAS WONDERING IF ANY OF YOU GUYS COULD GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS ON
SOME OF THE FOLLOWING INQUIRIES?
I THINK THE MOST PROBLEMATIC THING FOR ME AT THIS POINT ON THE MAC IS
GETTING LOST IN THE FINDER. AFTER INTERACTING WITH THE SIDEBAR TO
HIGHLIGHT A DRIVE I WANT TO EXPLORE, NOT INTEREACING WITH THAT SAME
SIDEBAR, ETC, SOMETIMES I FIND MYSELF LOST, TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE
I NEED TO BE.
I'VE ONLY HAD THE MAC FOR CLOSE TO 2 WEEKS and I just realized that I
had capslock on for most of this message.
One of the things I did quite a bit of in windows was browse and get
things from usenet and I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion on a
good news reader that works well with voiceover.
I've looked at hogwasher, news hunter, mt news watcher, iGrab and mac
soup and in most of them, I can't seem to get to the list of
newsgroups. My wife tells me that the list of groups is there but
when I use vo keys and the arrows, it's missing that table or list.
Anyway, I think that's all I have for now, though I'm sure I'll have a
lot more questions as I try to figure this out.
I love mac mail and had that figured out pretty quickly, at least the
basics. I haven't gotten into finding messages or things like that yet.
Thanks for the list and I hope to gain a lot of knowledge and develop
some friendships along the way.
Have a happy new year.
