what pdfs are you trying to read? I find that hiding the toolbars and using
the bab key and vo keys with arrows to get around works fairly well. I also
find that I don't really need adobe reader because most documents I need to
read work fine or better in preview.

Subject: VO and acrobat reader 8

Dear Listers,

Does anyone on the list use Acrobat Reader 8 for Mac? I've just
downloaded it and have been struggling with it although it promises to
work with assistive technology all right. It seems to configure itself
for the assistive technology but I am still not able to read pdf
documents with it. I used to use Acrobat a lot under Windows
especially that it has a facility for saving pdf documens in text
format which Preview does not seem to hve. It's also useful when it
comes to reading pdf docs on the web.

Let me have your thoughts on the subject, please.
