I would like a better understanding about this as well. I often find
myself using the finder for this type of thing. Let us know when you
do the update.

TK: Not to be insulting or anything but why in the world would you
be doing it that way anyway. If you are in the iTunes app, you can
play entire albums, play individual songs and numerous other
things. If you had a folder with sub-folders in it with thousands
of songs total, all you'd have to do is choose "Add to Library" from
the file menu and choose the parent folder of these thousands of
songs and iTunes would automatically import the whole thing and
arrange them according to whatever Tags were available. There is so
much you can do from within iTunes itself that I'm amazed that folks
are attempting to do so many things from the Finder instead. I'm
looking into updating my page on using iTunes so maybe these sorts
of things could be addressed.
