I would still use Itunes, just make sure that the playlists are not  
automaticly synced and you should be fine. A tip that helps me with  
my ipod is to number all thed playlists, for example I have a smart  
playlist that has all of my current podcasts named 0 and music  
playlist numbered so that when I click the center buttion twice I get  
my podcast as my first playlist and for me two clicks from the click  
wheen is my favorets playlist
