So then Scot
can i take it that that really it only clicks for some downloads but not all and that if i am moving files from say a hard drive etc there will be no clicking or announcements etc, only by interacting with parts of the screen i will get some feedback.

Makes perfect sense, I don't think Apple included that clicking for that particular operation or actually there must be a difference in what is presented on the screen and VO sees things differently. Either way, it would be nice if this were the case in all places.

OK this may sound a bit strange but when i am downloading, moving a file from a drive or waiting for a programme to process data in any way and i phocus on the appropriate part of the window why don't i hear a clicking sound on everything? sometimes it happens during downloads but on things like moving files from a drive it just sits there and i have no idea how far the process is or even if it is happening unless i interact with something on the screen.

hope this makes sense.
