Hi Jed,
In order to examine the content of your message, first you need to
interact with the content by pressing VO keys which is control+option
+ shift key. On a laptop computer you probably also need to press
function key, the bottom leftmost key. Once you've heard the feedbck
that you are actually interacting with the content, you use VO keys +
right and left arrow keys to read word by word, and VO + shift + arrow
keys to read letter by letter.
