Folks,

I'm curious, I read here that at some point in the not to distant future, the Open Office suite would be VoiceOver compliant. I looked over the site and of course didn't see anything that stated this clearly, but what I did notice is there's two versions for the Mac. One being the X11 version which I do not expect to work and then the Aqua version. Now, please excuse my ignorence, but I thought stuff coded in Aqua was not as accessible as stuff coded in Coco, but maybe that's cause I'm confusing the two different interfaces? Is Aqua a part of Coco or do I even know what I'm babbling about? Also, was there some specifics on VoiceOver or is that an assumption? It would be nice if Apple could step up Iworks and make it fully accessible and I have no doubt they are working the issue, but I imagine we'll have to wait a spell for this to get done. So, maybe in the short term, Open Office might be the way to go, but then maybe not, I don't know. There are at least two options available at present via Tables and Nisus Writer or even Text Edit. I just can't pull myself off the fense yet to buy anything without waiting to see what Apple plans to do with Iworks.

tnx
