Thanks, I wasn't sure if the driver's interface would prove to be a
problem or not.
As a side note, I got an Officejet in the end after giving a color
laser a lot of thought. I got the HP L7680 which is a scanner,
printer, and fax all-in-one. I couldn't use the drivers on the cd so
grabbed them off the HP site and once installed I was very pleasantly
surprised to find that it worked incredibly well. I was able to print,
fax, and scan over the network. HP has some work to do on the drivers,
but what helped me decide was this. First the ink cartridges will not
dry up for at least 18-24 months, its not a super small unit, but not
the 85 pound monster the Brother color laser was which made some real
problems for me as far as a good location, and finally it was less
expensive which really did fit the budget at this point. The HP
software is very accessible so it really was a big help to have
everything in one unit that everyone in the house could use.
tnx

Hi Scott
Yes, the Lide 60 is fully twain compliant, as well as WIA compliant.
It'll work fine with any scanning software that supports either of
these standards. I've got one of these little scanners, use it on
both Windows and Mac all the time, since it outperforms my full-
sized Epson in quality by a considerable amount.

Folks, I have a spare scanner I was going to give a friend of mine.
I haven't gotten him over to the Mac yet, but one day perhaps In
the meantime, has anyone used a LED60 under windows and if so did
you find any problems working with the drivers? I'm assuming it
will work as a twain complient scanner for K1000 or whatever it is
he has. Just wanted to know before I frustrated him with a scanner
he can't work with.
