And to answer your other question John, its simple to keep items in the
dock:
open the app you want to keep,
hit VO-d to take you to the dock,
use your left and right arrows until you hear the name of the app you've
just opened (VO will tell you its running),
down arrow on the app will take you into a menu where you'll find the option
keep in dock.
If you want to remove an app at anytime, the remove option can be found in
the same menu.

Of course! go into the general preferences tab and select the start Skype
when I launch Mac OS10 check box.

Hey all. Is there a way I can get Skype to start up when the Mac
starts. If there is, how can I do it with VO? Also, I would like to
know how I can put an icon in the Dock permanently? I don't want to
have a cluttered desktop, and I know how to put apps on the desktop,
simply by copying and pasting the shortcut from the Applications
folder. But how can I put my less frequently used appps in the Dock,
and delete the ones I don't use? Thanks.
