Hello,
You do not need an iTunes account to download from Audible.

Hi Peg,

Is it possible that you already have your Audible account activated on three
different computers? The iTunes help says:

(iTunes Mac 7.5 Help: If You Can't Play an Audiobook at
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iTunesMac/7.5/en/15277.html
)

"Spoken programs purchased from the Audible website can be downloaded
to up to three computers at a time."

I know that Audible Manager used on PCs used to allow activation on up to 5 computers. I don't remember whether you need to have an iTunes account to get your Audible downloads. A more recent Mac user who also subscribes to Audible might know. Shaun, do you remember having to have an iTunes
account?

Sorry not to be of more help. I know that once you have authorized your
computer for Audible, there is a menu option in the Advanced menu of
the iTunes Menu Bar for "Deauthorize Audible Account".

Cheers,

Esther

Hi Listers:

I'm trying to authorize my computer with an established Audible
account on Itunes. My pass word and user name seem to be rejected in
Itunes and I know they are correct. Does the computer itself have to
be registered in the same name, or do I have to establish an actual
Itunes account?
I am following the instructions for entering my audible user name and
password with no luck. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
