Hi Søren,
1: What is a splitter and how does it work?
• the splitter is like a divider in the window. In Mail, it's the
divider between the Message Table and the Preview Pane if you have
that option enabled or it can be the division between the main body
of the window and the sidebar. If you Interact with a splitter, you
can move it up or down if the splitter is horizontal or left or
right if the splitter is vertical. For the most part, I don't play
with them other than getting rid of the Preview Pane in Mail.
2: What does the command 1 shortcut do?
TK: That all depends on the application that you're in. In Mail
for example, cmd-1 brings forward the InBox. When in the iTunes
Preferences window, cmd-1 brings focus to the General pane of the
Preferences.
