Sometimes better to copy last spoken phrase rather than interacting with text to select it.

I can't because for some reason, Mac and Gmail don't get along.
Everyone's telling me that it's because of the formatting of the page.
In either case, when I select all from the webpage, copy it and paste
it into Text Edit, I can't read it properly. If I use the uparrow,
it'll bring me to a certain point and then start from the beginning
again. I can't go word by word either. It's very strange and only
happens with certain pages, Livejournal being the second one I've
noticed.

why not just click to go to the page?

Subject: Alternative to Safari or Something

My Windows machine is shot (the adapter port is broken) so I'm mostly
relying on my Mac now. Every time I want to select a link or some
text, I have to keep going in and out of the select mode. The thing
is, it won't select the full address of a page if it's in a text. Say
there's an email with a long web address. Well, it'll select up to a
certain point and that's it. The method I'm using is vo shift down
arrow to interact with the text and then vo enter to select. I'll use
vo right arrow to select, then vo enter to stop selecting, command c
to copy and vo shift up arrow to stop interacting with the text. But
as I said, I can't just continuously select text. If there's a period or something in a webpage or another paragraph of text, I have to keep stopping, pasting to wherever and then going back. This is driving me
absolutely crazy so I have to keep going on the xp desktop (which
isn't mine, but which I have permission to use) to do this. What
makes it even more difficult is that I can never seem to be able to
copy a gmail page correctly into text edit, so I can't even use that
as an alternative. It'll copy the whole page, but I can't read it
properly as I can with almost every other webpage (except
LiveJournal). Please, is there a way to fix this? Is there another
browser that I can use? If not, I'm installing windows on this or get
out my xp desktop that I haven't used in a few years, reformat it
(it's loaded with viruses) and use that for things like this because I
don't think I could take anymore. Btw, I'm also writing to
assistiveware and the makers of ESpeak cause I desperately need a
Greek synth for the Mac.
