Hey Dan,
You can also try a little contextual menu item called QuickAccessCM. It's a
preference pane that allows you to move files to specific locations. It's
extrememly easy to use. Can't remember where to find it but I'm sure you can
Google it.

Subject: moving files
Hi all, if I wanted to move some files to another folder, what i've been
doing is copying them, and going to the folder that I want to put them
in and pasting them in. Especially if it's a lot of files, having to go
back and delete the originals, is a pain. I tried cutting files, but
I've found that. I'm unable to do that. If I want to move files, is
my only choice to go into terminal and do it that way?
