Hi,

I just used google to find it, or go to version tracker or macupdate to download it. IT's called Audiobook Builder.app by splam software.

It will munch either CDs, or iTunes tracks and let you organize the tracks into a true audio book that has chapter markers and will play like an audio book on iPods. In other words, it takes all those tracks, and smushes them into as many parts as you want. I love it.

My workflow is to build
a new book project and import all the tracks on CD through audiobook builder. No iTunes required. I then let the app build the final book into a bookmarkable aac file and add it to iTunes. Then on to my shuffle it goes.

What does the program do that you mentioned? Is it a importer or a program used to tag audio correctly? Where can it be found?

 Hi,

YOu need to play with the meta data for the import. The first step is to get all the books into one playlist for ease of access. Now, select all and do a get info on the items. Set the genre to audio book to start, and other common thing slike albumn, author etc. At this point, you want to select one album at a time, and again do a get info. Look for disk or part blank of blank in the info tab. By setting this meta data properly, it should come out looking ok, and actually stick. These are not exact instructions, but playing with the get info data you can get this to work.

On a side note, I use Audio Book Builder Pro to make my audio books. It works well and works with VoiceOVer. I suggest you download it and give it a try, I think it's 10 bucks shareware if you like it.

Listers I imported a 12 CD book into I Tunes and it landed in my music folder in a weird play order. Basically the CD's doesn't go 1 thru 12, they go 2,1,3,5,4,7,6,8,9 and so on. I put them in correctly and in the correct playing order but this is the result. What can I do to correct it?
