Has any one yet fired up a bluetooth display such as the baum or the brailiant or the braille connect? I'm getting a braille connect and going to try to connect it bluetooth. That would get rid of one wire on my desk. Unfortunately I don't think the pack mate supportes bt, but the cool thing about the baum displays is that I can use it on my computer or my phone. They're very well built and versatile units.

Best,

Erik

I had the unfortunate chance of testing a pacmate braille display out and found it an incredibly poor system. not only were the cells rather shockingly poor but the connection here was rather faulty. the design could be so much better.

it is slightly better on a focus 40. the alva displays are a real dream and I would love to own one but somehow I dont think I'll be in the position to get one for a long time to come

Yep I recall I'd have problems with this too. I plug my PM 40 cel into the mac and basically it just loses and regains the connection every now and then.

It did feel loose and I was not sure exactly what to do about it. It was not so intolerable that I didn't benefit from carrying it to my classes. But I was happy to have an alva 540 traveler around my dorm.

hi does anyone use a pac amte display with a macbook or any mac for that matter? Do you find the connection extremely lose when fitting the cable into the pac mate?

Hello Will, no normally I would expect the connection to be secure to the extent that a slite knoc, wouldn't dislodge the connection. You may
need to get the display checked.
but this is not right as a slight knock disconnect the display for me, that can't be right I want to experience braille more with the mac if i can but am concerned it is not a snug connection with a pm 20 cell
