I know what you mean. I got the same response from RealBasic, and even though I 
corresponded with someone at the company via e-mail, I did not get a promise 
that they would try to make their prodduct more accessible. It's definitely 
frustrating.

No, I haven't tried the Windows version nor do I know of anyone  
(blind) who has tried it  The only response I received from the  
company was "File an enhancement request".  I'm frankly getting tired  
of filing bug reports and enhancement requests because nothing ever  
seems to come of them.  I'm just about ready to give up and retire.
