Ryan this is Shaun in Georgia. I will run these test and see what I get. I don't have Apple Care because this mini is too old for that. Let me try it and see, I'll let you know in a bit.

Hello,

First, try resetting the iPod. Hold the menu and select keys down for at least 10 seconds. If nothing happens, repeat. Both buttons must be pressed within milliseconds of each other, so be patient. If that doesn't do it, get some sighted assistance and run the diagnostic tests available by holding down the left side of the click wheel and the select button. Select is the center button.

Failing this, I hope you had AppleCare. Let me know where you're at in the world and I'll get you the AppleCare contact info. AppleCare for iPods is $$69 in the United States, but is an international support network. AppleCare representatives in each country will try and troubleshoot the iPod, and then your situation will depend on each country. In the U.S. we can go to an Apple Store for a visit to the iPod ba or Genius bar. Orr, simply have a box shipped out overnight that we drop in the mail the next business day and get a repaired product a few days later.

If you're iPod isn't quite a year old, you can still add AppleCare. However, one day over the limit and you can't do it, and I've never seen anyone get an exception.

Thanks,
Ryan

Listers I have a newer I Pod mini and it seems that it's broken. It doesn't power on even when it's plugged into the power outlet or when it's plugged directly into my Mac. Does anyone know a fix or a shop I can send it to? It isn't worth much so I don't want to spend allot of money on it, but I have fell in love with it and would like to get it fixed for less than the price of getting a new Nano.
