This is only the menu bar of the program which is accessible. You
can't get any informations from the main screen or the other windows
of the program accept for the name of the channel you are watching.
The whole menu bar is navigatable accept for some color settings.
When switching between channels with the plus and dash keys VO does
say channel up and channel down, it says volume up and down like
Itunes, fast forward and backward and it says "system has new window"
when switching between channels on the remote control. This is the
only feedback it gives. I find the program very navigatable because
you don't really need the informations from the main screen.
I hope I have answered your question more clearly. I'm sorry to be
unclearly the last time.
Best regards

you havent exactly answered my question. how does voiceover work
with the software? does it give essential feedback? is it navigatable?
I will be looking at getting this tuner very shortly. so need to
know some details. I'm not fussed about a podcast just the
essential answers.

Hi.
The software which comes with my Pinnacle tv tuner is Eye tv Lite.
It supports pvr as well, and I find this accessible with VO too. I
might be able to make a podcast where I show how it works with
Voiceover, but I don't have much time to it in the nearest future.
I assume Eye Tv Lite will work on all tv tuners since this is only
a program where you can watch tv. I'll see if I can grab a copy of
the full version of Eye Tv and compare Eye tv and Eye Tv lite. I'll
let you know when I know more about the differences between Eye Tv
and Eye Tv Lite.

Well, it's funny you should say that Lewis - hopefully Soren can
tell us abit more about what software came with the Pinnacle unit
in question because from what I can gather on the Pinnacle
website, the mac compatible ones come with eyetv lite. And that's
a cut down version of the full eyetv, which I have, which isn't
accessible. Maybe the lite version actually is, which would be odd
as their flagship full software, the all singing and dancing one,
absolutely isn't.
So - Soren - what software came with your card and does it have
pvr features ? I'd love to know in case it is compatible with my
eyetv units. I've been looking for an accessible mac tv solution
for the longest time !

Hi guys,
The elgato tuners use eyetv, which is not remotely accessible
with VO. I know from bitter personal experience.
I have been trying to get Elgato to add VO support to their
software for some time but no joy. So don't waste your money on
an Elgato product Lewis, if you absolutely must have VO
compatibility it will be next to useless to you.
Also, the Miglia tv tuners you can buy in the UK use software
called Tube 2. This is also not accessible with VO. I've tried
that one too !
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if there is a USB TV and Radio Receiver who's
software works well with VO under Leopard? If so, what's its
name and price and where can I read more about it?
Thanks.
