Hi John. I was about to respond, but you said it better then I
could. I just want to add that if someone wants to contribute
something, and they don't want to start their own web site or podcast,
there's no reason why they couldn't submit the material elsewhere. I
know Josh is always looking for more content for lioncourt.com, so if
someone wanted to write up a guide or something, I'm sure he'd love to
have it. Alternatively, if audio is more your thing, you could always
produce some tutorials or demos and submit them to a number of
places. I know blind cool tech and main menu are always looking for
new material, and you could also submit stuff here to the screenless
switchers.

I'm honestly bewildered by the attitude and assertions made as
well. It makes no sense to me. Gordon was one of the first people
to demonstrate a part of VoiceOver with his presentation on virtual
machines. As I said in my comments for the article, does it really
matter who does the podcasts and such anyway? Isn't it important
that VoiceOver is promoted overall? What is stopping any UK user
from doing their own podcast on VO? I just don't get this
sentiment in these reactions, as they almost sound "childish" in
their tone and accusations. Go out and spread the word if you feel
inclined to do so. Nothing is stopping anyone from doing it.

I'm still flummoxed as to where the notion is coming from that the
UK Mac users are somehow excluded from anything. If Gordon's been
on Main Menu, Mr. Shebanek from Apple has attended Sight Village,
Anne Roberts has been on Screenless Switchers and done promotional
work for Assistiveware, and so on, it hardly seems to me that
European, let alone UK, users are being excluded.
And, as for the personal attacks on myself from James and Will, I
have very little to say. I've done my utmost for this community,
and will continue to do so. I hope my work for the VI community as
a whole, not limited to Mac users, will speak for itself.
