Jason,

Your thinking is correct. You can only get a macbook in 13 not a macbook
pro and a Macbook air is too airy for your needs. The 17" backlit display
is the berries for you and that 2000gb hd and 4 g of ram would fit your
needs nicely. We have one of those puppies and it is sleek and fast. The
200gb 7200rpm hd is quite fast. I went with that rather than the larger
slower drive because of the need for speed for the purpose of running
windows to the Max.

Thank you all for your help!

I had thought of a 17-inch screen for teaching magnification software,
allowing for more real-estate. Are there any high partials using the 13 or
15 inch screens? Is it useable?

What about the Macbook air?

Vashaun, I would enjoy discussing this on skype, but I don't see your
address to drop you a line. What am I missing?

Thanks,
Jason

Yeah, sorry about that. Some where I thought I saw it for $79, but like I
said I wasn't sure. I guess I need to add more money to my Pay Pal account.
