it's perfectly normal for programs to bomb once in a while but if it is too frequent, there may be some issues. If you need to find the user notification center, sometimes, you have to press vo keys with f2 twice quickly and look for its window in the list and act on it. If you've done that and cannot find the window, perhaps it was dealt with internally. I've seen this a time or two where the user notification center will show up and then the program fixes it self or closes without any intervention on my part.
